Well folks, I hereby wrap up my end of The Festival Season, Issue One and pass it into the more-than-capable hands of Kumari.
I got the rest of the pages back from the copy shop, and being as they are made from the hi-rez version of the art, plus have the chapter pages in between, they look good I have to say. Looking at it all as a unit, with chapters delineated, I can say in all honesty that I am proud of the work we did on this and feel optimistic about its future. Whatever a publisher's response, I know I did the best I am capable of, worked very hard, and can't do any more than that.
We'll be sure to keep you updated on what happens when it gets out into the big bad world! And I thank each of you who have visited and commented because your support means so, so much to me, it's just that: Support, and we all need it to thrive and keep our noses to the grindstone. I appreciate it so much, you are the best!
Take it away, K!

OMG!! What a place to end!!! How am I going to survive without my Festival Season fix?
Seriously, this is so good. I can't wait to see it in print, with all its headings and extras. Fabulous work!!!
I wrote at least 6 different versions of the last page. I was trying too hard to make different things work, to make sure that we kept the reader interested. But I just wasn't happy.
So I did what I did back in my fanfic writing days. I wrote what I wanted to write and asked Ruth to draw what I wanted to see.
What I like most about what we've created is that there is a sense of humor about it all. It's a comic book! I'm not trying to put down what other people have done, but much of graphic novel Victoriana is very graphic, but hardly novel.
Congrats you guys on finishing the first issue. Working on a comic is not an easy task.... especially when you paint it by hand.
really good job!
Congratulations!! The individual panel and page compositions are excellent and the whole story flows so well. It's so cinematic. We can't wait to purchase several copies! - John & Didi
Thank you so much you guys! It feels so good to be done. I am super curious to hear if we get anything back from the people we send this to. Ya just never know, right?
